Bernard Burtschy is the President of the Association de la Presse du Vin (APV) in France (Association of French wine press) and writes regularly on wine for France’s most prestigious and largest daily, Le Figaro (Chroniques hebdomadaires dans le Figaro, Figaro-Magazine, Site l’Avis du Vin).

He is also a permanent member of the Grand Jury Européen and contributes regularly to wine magazines all over the world such as Wands (Japan), l’Amateur de Cigare, Paris Match, Yam, Vigneron, Feinschmecker (Germany) and Weingourmet (Germany).

He is one of the world’s best known wine writers.

From 1994-2010 he was at La Revue du Vin de France and from January 2002 – December 2004 was in charge of Gault Milau’s guide Vin (annual wine guide). He has written many other guides and books. He graduated with a diploma in Mathematical Statistics from the Université Pierre et Marie Curie in 1981.
